QTEC – Quality Training and Education Centre offer this nationally accredited training program. It is suitable for people already working in the hospitality industry or those seeking employment in the hospitality industry.
This course deals with the skills and knowledge required to handle food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service and disposal of food. It requires the ability to follow predetermined procedures as outlined in a food safety program.
The program is conducted at the Bendigo Stadium, one of regional Australia’s prime sporting, gaming and hospitality complexes. This is a unique opportunity to learn in a real hospitality environment as well as gaining a nationally recognised certificate.
Key topics covered:
• following a food safety program
• storing food safely
• preparing food safely
• providing safe single use items
• maintaining a clean environment
• disposing of food safely
At the completion of the course participants will be required to complete both a written assessment and a practical assessment. Upon successful completion the participant will receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment.
Because time is spent in the kitchen, it is essential that participants are suitably attired. You are expected to wear neat black attire with covered in shoes.

The cost of RPL is the same as if you enrolled in and completed the unit.
